The Daily Mail - ePedal Traveller Review
A Round of Applause Please...
SOMETHING tells me this little beauty will catch on. It consumes no petrol or diesel, produces no emissions requires no insurance, tax or MOT, folds up neatly into a carrier bag and gets you from A to B quietly, efficiently - fast.
A round of applause, please, for the ePedal Traveller, an electric bike for lazy cyclists or those who want to arrive at work after doing just enough exercise to feel virtuous but without ever breaking into a sweat.
You ride it like an ordinary bike or turn a key and it shoots along at a steady 15mph. Stand by for astonished looks from fellow cyclists as you pass them without making the slightest effort. The compact battery charges like a mobile phone, giving four hours' power.
'We are concious that our ePedal bikes need to compete with high end push bikes and have worked hard to develop a high-quality product at an affordable price to give the customer a genuine electric option, 'says Oliver Mitchell managing director of Xero Technology.
And he's right about the price- £599 makes this a bargain.
